At first glance, you see them through the eyes of the child you once were, filled with wonder. The Nénètses seem to have stepped out of a fairy tale—an old story, edged with timeless legends. In fact, between today’s photos, yesterday’s prints, and engravings from long ago, nothing seems to have changed. It’s as if their lives have defied time, wars, and the wild storms of the toundra. A glimpse into their daily activities and rituals, within their ever-shifting camps and out in the vast, cold landscapes.
